But let’s get the dreaded “C” out of the way first. Covid had a catastrophic effect on our ability to interact with culture. Artificial intelligence entered the world’s focus this year, but next year will bring integration. While we have a lot of concerns to work through (i.e. bias, deep fakes, etc.) as a society, there’s no way to ignore the power and possibilities that have been unleashed. AI is changing what we make and how we make it.

What will hospitality interiors look like in 2024? https://www.designweek.co.uk/issues/18-december-22-december-2023/hospitality-interiors-2024/ https://www.designweek.co.uk/issues/18-december-22-december-2023/hospitality-interiors-2024/#respond Tue, 19 Dec 2023 10:33:10 +0000 https://www.designweek.co.uk/?p=298641 In terms of hospitality design predictions we have a hunch that we’ll be seeing more adventurous pattern play and more layered, accessorised design – with more of an emphasis on original and individual ‘artistic’ touches – in contrast to some of the more pared back interiors we’ve seen (but not necessarily quite as maximalist as some of the interiors we’ve seen emerging post Covid).

Already there are a myriad of AI tools allowing us to generate sitemaps, wireframes, create personas and user journey mapping, UI designs from prompts, and even code blocks. These tools will become sharper and more useful, and more robustly integrated into mainstream tools such…
