Ipswich Museum set for gallery overhaul
Ipswich Museum is seeking an exhibition designer to create new galleries and displays to ‘turn an excellent museum into an outstanding one’.
The museum is looking to create new galleries within its High Street Campus, as well as improving visitor facilities.
Stephen Taylor Architects was last year appointed to work on a masterplan for the £10 million redevelopment of the Ipswich Museum and Arts complex – which includes the High Street Campus.
Ipswich Borough Council, which is running the tender process for the gallery brief, says the gallery project is dependent on the museum being awarded Heritage Lottery Fund cash, with a decision due to be taken on this in April.
The deadline for receipt of tenders or requests to participate is 26 February. For more information visit ted.europa.eu.
